SUMMARY:Bioregions Facility Launch
DESCRIPTION:This event will start transregional cooperation on shaping and implementing a sustainable and integrative forest-based circular bioeconomy among dedicated regions. The initiative aims to share knowledge and develop cooperation around the topics of innovation\, institutions\, infrastructures and investments to make a sustainable bioeconomy a reality. \nThe Bioregions Facility is a new EFI initiative in which regions work together\, connecting science knowledge to action in order to move from a fossil economy towards a circular bioeconomy where sustainable forests and wood products play a fundamental role. Current member regions of this initiative at kick-off will be the Basque Country (Spain)\, North Karelia (Finland)\, North Rhine\nWestphalia (Germany). After this event further regions are invited to apply for membership to join the initiative. \nAs one of the founding members of the initiative\, the Basque Country will host the Launch Event and chair the Steering Group during the first term.
