Alueiden komitea sekä ROSEWOOD -metsäverkosto järjestävät marraskuun puolivälissä Brysselissä tapahtuman metsäsektorin vaikutuksista aluekehitykseen ja innovaatiotoimintaan. Tapahtumassa tarkastellaan aluksi innovaatiotoiminnan kohtaamia haasteita metsäsektorilla sekä EU-tason työkaluja näiden haasteiden ratkaisemiseksi. Tämän jälkeen esitellään eri alueilla havaittuja parhaita käytäntöjä esimerkkien avulla. Tilaisuuden puhujiin lukeutuvat muun muassa MEP Ville Niinistö, metsäneuvos Marja Hilska-Aaltonen maa- ja metsätalousministeriöstä sekä Pohjois-Karjalan maakuntajohtaja Risto Poutiainen. Älykkääseen erikoistumiseen keskittyvä ”Smart Regions Conference 3.0 – Transformation through Smart Specialisation” –tapahtuma järjestetään Brysselissä 14.–15. marraskuuta. Konferenssin kolme pääteemaa ovat innovaatiovetoisen kasvun tehostaminen teollisen muutosprosessin keskellä olevilla alueilla, alueiden tukeminen innovaatiovajeen kiinnikuromisessa sekä alueellisten talouksien integroiminen globaaleihin arvoketjuihin. Ohjelma sisältää korkean tason puhujia EU-komissiosta, paneelikeskusteluja yritysten, tutkimusorganisaatioiden, kansalaisjärjestöjen ja julkishallintojen edustajien kesken sekä verkostoitumista. Lisäksi konferenssin yhteydessä alueet voivat esitellä älykkään erikoistumisen hankkeitaan. Konferenssiin osallistuvat myös Itä- ja Pohjois-Suomen Elinkeinot murroksessa -yhteistyökumppanit. The fourth edition of the EU "Raw Materials Week" will take place from Monday 18 to Friday 22 November 2019, in Brussels. It builds up on a series of events organised by the European Commission addressing the latest news on raw materials in the EU. It will be a unique opportunity for the raw materials community to discuss and exchange on all relevant issues: policy, technology, international cooperation, framework conditions, knowledge base etc. For more information, see the event website.

Järjestyksessään neljäs EU Raw Materials Week –tapahtuma järjestetään 18. – 22. marraskuuta Brysselissä. Tapahtuma koostuu useista Euroopan komission järjestämistä tapahtumista, joissa käsitellään viimeisimpiä raaka-aineita käsitteleviä uutisia Euroopan unionin tasolla. Tapahtuman aikana raaka-ainealan toimijat voivat keskustella ja vaihtaa näkemyksiään muun muassa teemaa koskevista politiikoista, teknologioista, kansainvälisestä yhteistyöstä sekä toimintaympäristöstä.

Organised jointly by the European Commission and the country holding the presidency of the Council of the EU, the SME Assembly is an annual 2.5-day event presenting different approaches to promoting SME entrepreneurship. This meeting is linked to the small business act (SBA) initiative that sets the framework for the EU’s policy with regard to SMEs. As the Assembly marks the main event of the European SME week, the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) will be presented in its margins.…
