Kestävän Kasvun foorumin 2019 teemoina ovat uuden Pohjois-Karjalan ilmasto- ja energiaohjelman käynnistäminen, kiertotalouden kirittäminen sekä ilmastoviisas rakentaminen. Ilmasto, energia ja kiertotalous – Mitä teemme päästöjen vähentämiseksi ja kiertotalouden vauhdittamiseksi? klo 8.30-12.00 (E100) Aamupäivän aikana pureudutaan Pohjois-Karjalan maakunnalliseen ilmasto- ja energiaohjelmatyöhön sekä kiertotalouden edistämiseen erityisesti rakentamisessa. Valtioneuvoston tervehdyksen ilmasto-, energia- ja kiertotalousnäkökulmista tulee pitämään ympäristö- ja ilmastoministeri Krista Mikkonen. Oulu Boost Event 2019 brings together top-level decision makers and city officials from leading European cities to share insights on how cities are exploiting digital solutions in the process of digital transformation to serve their citizens in a user-centric and effective way. Oulun kaupunki järjestää yhteistyössä työ- ja elinkeinoministeriön sekä ympäristöministeriön kanssa tapahtuman ”Oulu Boost Event 2019: Upscaling Digital Solutions”, joka on yksi Suomen EU-puheenjohtajuuskauden virallisista sivutapahtumista. Suomi korostaa puheenjohtajuuskaudellaan digitaalisten ratkaisujen tärkeyttä, ja tämän 10.–11. joulukuuta järjestettävän tapahtuman tarkoituksena on esitellä siihen liittyviä parhaita käytäntöjä. Suomi pyrkii neuvoston puheenjohtajamaana, EU:n kaupunkiagendan hengessä, aktivoimaan eurooppalaiset kaupungit rakentamaan digitaalisia innovaatioita jaettujen ideoiden pohjalta sekä linkittämään EU:n kaupunkiagendan teemoja toisiinsa.
