Ecosystem for mechanical and materials technology
The ecosystem services for mechanical and materials technology brings materials expertise based on expensive and modern equipment requiring specialist expertise as joint effort by experts from a number of different levels of educational establishments for the use of enterprises.
The ecosystem for mechanical and materials technology produces extensive research, development and training services in support of the needs of the technology industry. The services are aimed at, e.g. materials analyses, welding method development, additive manufacturing or the materials or process development or nanomaterials of coatings. The training services are tailored according to need.
The ecosystem service is aimed at citizens and international technology companies. Services are produced between different departments of the University of Eastern Finland (e.g. SIB Labs, Department of Applied Physics, School of Pharmacy), the technical departments of the Savonia University of Applied Sciences, and the different fields of study of the Savo Vocational College and the Ylä-Savo Vocational College.
