Jokiedu Oy is a qualification body accredited by FINAS for the qualification of welding methods and welders. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment grants the operating licence on the basis of FINAS’ accredication.

The Pressure Equipment Directive and the Pressure Equipment Act drawn up in accordance with it require that enterprises manufacturing permanent joints (welding joints) have approved production methods and that persons performing these joints can prove their personal expertise with an acceptable welder’s qualification test in accordance with the EN standard. In addition, when manufacturing many other products, the client and the supplier can ensure the qualification of production methods and welders under the supervision of a third party. Jokiedu Oy acts as a third party in the testing of expertise.

The service is aimed at companies who want to confirm the qualification of their production method with a welding method test in accordance with the standard or with a qualification test in accordance with the welder’s standard. The service is produced either in the laboratory facilities of Jokiedu Oy or in the company’s own premises. Jokiedu Oy has the technical equipment to approve the company’s production tools for testing use.
